Political corruption in India is a major concern. It is by far one of the most corrupt governments in South Asia. For 2010, India was ranked 178th of 191th countries in Transparency Internationals Corruption Perceptions Index, which was a huge setback from the preceding year.
I am expected to be a responsible citizen and vote at the general elections. I am told it will lead to the betterment of my country, that every vote counts and to improve the system, everyone’s voice must be heard. But does it, and are they? What's the solution?
